Cambridge B2 First FCE Examination Course

Your Cambridge B2 First (FCE) Exam Preparation Course in Bristol

We offer exam preparation for the Cambridge English examinations. You can prepare for the Cambridge B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE) exams at ELC Bristol.

ELC Bristol has a long history of preparing students for the Cambridge English exams. We run the Cambridge B2 First (FCE) examination preparation course throughout the year.

The objectives of the course are based on the syllabus in the coursebook selected by the teachers and on the needs and requests of the students in the class. The main class teacher makes a programme for the class each week with these objectives in mind.

Cambridge B2 First (FCE) Classes

The Cambridge B2 First (FCE) exam preparation course at ELC Bristol enables students to develop the grammar, vocabulary and all the necessary skills and techniques that they need to do well in the exam. On two afternoons a week, students get additional practice for the writing paper and other parts of the exam. On the other two afternoons, there may be more of a focus on topics such as Business English, Film, Music or British Life and Culture.

We do not believe in just practising with past papers. When you start the course, we familiarise you with the exam and then, as with the General English courses, we focus on the 4 skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. In this way, we help you reach the level of English required to pass the exams.

If you have dyslexia, you may be able to get extra time in the exam. Please bring with you a recent (last 2 years) certificate translated into English. The Cambridge exam centre in Bristol will need to see this when you apply for the exam.

* Sometimes the exams are held in the week after the end of the course, in which case students should book an extra week’s accommodation (if required).
