Info:  Talks are themed around:  Nature, Nurture and Nourish.  Talks have been known to be hosted by famous actors, writers, singers etc.

The University of Bristol

Cost:  Usually free but you need to book to ensure you get in! 

Info:  Talks on a variety of topics, recently including:  Climate Change and Health Seminar (online); Heritage Open Days and Tours; Showcase on Food and Nutrition; and their Annual Lecture.  Some talks are online, others are in person.

Bristol Historical Association 

Location:  Usually held in Lecture Theatre B in Bristol University’s Humanities building 

Cost:  Annual membership is £15/year; walk-ins on the day cost £5/person. 

Info:  Talks on a variety of topics by experts in their field.  Recent talks include:  The First Women Doctors in Britain; Witch-Hunting:  Past and Present?; Emerging from the Mud: Discovering Roman Bath; Bristol’s Distinctive Buildings; and The Arts and Crafts Movement.
