Jam Sessions in Bristol
There are a HUGE amount of venues who host jam sessions in Bristol!

Going to jam sessions in Bristol is a great way to meet people who share your musical interests and practice your speaking and listening skills whilst making new friends!
Bristol is a musical city, filled with every genre you can think of! Many venues and businesses offer jam sessions, where people bring their instruments (you can borrow our guitar if you want!) and play music together, usually improvising. There are many more opportunities than these – search “Bristol Jam Sessions” on Meetups and Reddit to find the rest!
Community Jam Collective
Location: The Old England in Montpellier (about 30mins by bus from Clifton, about the same walking)
Cost: Free to join (but you’re expected to buy drinks/food from the pub!)
Info: Runs every Tuesday from 6pm-11pm. All genres are welcome and you can bring your own instruments or use one of the house instruments. You can donate towards the upkeep of the instruments.

Bleep Klub
Location: Strange Brew (20 minutes by bus from Clifton, 40 minutes walking)
Cost: £3 (this is recommended, not mandatory – but most people pay it!)
Info: A monthly meet, usually on Mondays, specifically for jamming with electronic music and equipment, including audio improvisation as well as visual improvisation! Set-up is from 6:30pm, with visitors just there for the music/experience arriving from 8pm.

Location: The Full Moon and Attic Bar (about 30mins by bus from Clifton, 40mins walking)
Cost: Free
Info: Every Thursday from 9pm until 1am. Soul, RnB, Hip Hop and Experimental genres to be expected. Suntrap don’t have a website – Google “Suntrap Jam Sessions” and you’ll see their next expected date!
