Summer in Bristol 2026

We are at the start of an exciting few months in Bristol with so much going on for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the biggest events and activities happening in Bristol during the summer  of 2026.

Experience Bristol’s Famous Festivals

Bristol Sounds (23–28 June)

Summer starts with Bristol Sounds, a series of outdoor concerts held on the city’s beautiful harbourside. International and UK artists perform in the open air, creating a fantastic atmosphere right in the heart of the city. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy live music and experience Bristol’s creative culture.

Bristol Pride (27 June–12 July

One of the city’s most celebrated events, Bristol Pride brings together thousands of people to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and community. The main Pride Day takes place on 11 July and includes live music, performances, food stalls, and a colourful parade. Everyone is welcome!

Bristol Harbour Festival (17–19 July)

The Bristol Harbour Festival is one of the largest free events in the city. Expect live music, street performances, dance shows, food vendors, and activities along the waterfront. It’s a brilliant way to experience Bristol’s maritime heritage while enjoying a fun weekend with friends.

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta (7–9 August)

Perhaps Bristol’s most iconic event, the Balloon Fiesta attracts visitors from around the world. Hundreds of colourful hot air balloons fill the sky above Ashton Court, with spectacular morning launches and evening “Night Glow” displays. Best of all, the event is free to attend.

Spend Time Around the Harbourside

The Harbourside becomes one of the most popular places in Bristol during summer. Students can enjoy:
