Cycling in Bristol

There are lots of opportunities for social cycling in Bristol!

Cycling with others is a great way to practice your speaking and listening skills – and you get to explore different parts of Bristol by bike!

Bristol Pegasus Cycling Club 

Location:  North Bristol – usually leaving from Bradley Stoke (1hr by bus from Clifton – shorter by bike!) 

Cost:  £12/year; £6/half year 

Info:  9:30am Sunday rides, usually about 50 miles and covering the surrounding towns, villages and cities around Bristol.  Not currently taking beginners, but have fast and slower cycling groups depending on your preference.  You must wear a helmet and no equipment is provided.

Bristol Road Club 

Location:  Meet at Brunel Lock Road on Spike Island (about 45mins walking from Clifton, shorter on a bike!) 

Cost:  £20/year 

Info:  Ride on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, taking part in local races and engaging in club nights out and club holidays, too!

Clifton Cycling Club 

Location:  Clifton (about 10mins walking from school) 

Cost:  £22/month 

Info:  Membership here includes access to Clifton Running Club, and also HIIT classes, as well as discounted classes at Clifton Yoga Club and membership of the Social Heroes Adventure Club (all great socialisation and fitness opportunities very close to the school!)  Social, intermediate and advanced rides are available, you must provide all equipment.
